G’day all,
Ok, just want to help out those who want to improve the results of Google searches of their site’s WordPress posts. This will take just 1 minute and is real easy to apply. (Even my mum can do this)
To start off, login to your WordPress backend:
- Login to your WP backend
- Click on “Options”
- Click on “Permalinks”
- Select the 2nd radio button (i.e Date and name based) or choose to go custom with (1) /%category%/%postname%/ or just (2) /%postname%/
- Click on “Update Permalink Structure”
- Done! =)
I’ve also made a video on this:

Enjoy!
Tip: You can find all video tutorials on this link

Personally I prefer to use “Custom specify below” and use /%postname%/
After all there seems to be no use for having the date as dir folders. And this version does much better for SEO purposes. Or so I have tested.
