First of, sorry for the lack of interesting posts of late as I’ve been tied up with several commitments going on in my life (anyhow, that’s an excuse which I don’t want to ever make again).

Anyways, I just wanted to help some of you out there who want to break through to higher levels of internet marketing success (whatever that means to you) but am unable to do so.

One possible enemy or barrier to you attaining more success could very well be information overload and very often, that comes in the form of being on too many marketers’ lists

What essentially happens is that your productivity drops and when that happens, we all know that profitability drops. Ain’t that true?

Time for me to check out now … Let me know your 2 cents on this if you like. Cheers and Blessings To You!

You see … I believe that those who are really hitting the jackpot tend to …

(one or more of the following)
* have more quality products for sale
* have a more established name and authority in the marketplace
* know how to outsource more effectively
* run more pay-per-click campaigns
* have better seo knowledge and application
* write, produce and submit more articles to more directories
* produce and submit more videos on more video sites
* have more listings on directories, auctions and online classifieds (e.g Craigslist, Gumtree, USFreeAds, eBay, etc)
* have bigger and more responsive lists (i.e quantity and quality)
* have better copywriting skills
* have better graphics, sales copy and webpages
* offer more services in the marketplace
* provide better support to prospective and existing clients
* create better and more unique content and websites (for adsense, site-flipping, etc)
* look for better JV partners more often
* spend more time on income producing activities

ABOVE ALL ELSE, they take MORE MASSIVE ACTION than the majority.

Hope this helps and blesses you! (With this post, i’m speaking to myself much more than to others)

I’ve been wanting to share this for quite a while already … but it took me till today to do so. Ok, i’m sure some of you reading this are pretty good with domain names yet there are others who have never registered a domain name before and are looking to get their first.

Generally speaking, there are 3 main criteria I look for in choosing and deciding my domain names.

My Criteria:

The domain name should on some degree be …

1) SEO-able

2) Brand-able

3) Memor-able

On the first point of the name being SEO-able, a name like “sdfkjwelk” is not SEO-able (per se). If you intend to have a site on fishing, you should have related keyword/s in your domain name (if you want it to be SEO-able that is).

2nd point on being brand-able are names like eBay, FaceBook and so on and so forth.

When we talk about memor-able as the 3rd point, we meant that the name should be catchy if possible.

Ok, till we meet again! God Bless!

First things first … have to apologise for the lack of updates the last 3 weeks. It’s just that I’ve been cashing in on my first Clickbank check and been building up on the momentum which I’ve built in the initial weeks.

Ok back to business … I know a lot of you are raring to earn some decent income online and some of you are easily earning a lot more than me but for those who aren’t earning a decent dime yet, let me ask you a question …

ARE YOU SUBSCRIBED TO A LOT OF OPT-IN LISTS? (The alternative and equivalent question to that is … HAVE YOU BEEN BUYING A LOT OF EBOOKS AND REPORTS?)

If you answered yes to that, I’ll like to suggest something and that is … you’re under a huge illusion. You see … it wasn’t too long ago that I subscribed to newsletters after newsletter and buying reports after reports. For a while, that made you feel good because you thought that you were increasing your actual bottomline.

Well … yes and no. You were only increasing your potential bottomline but UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY APPLIED ANY ACTION to the knowledge you gained, all the new found information is worth a grand total of … ZILCH, NADA, ZERO.

Do you get me?

So if you’re still with me so far and would like to take a suggestion from me, do the following:

1) Start pruning the number of newsletters you’re subscribed to and if it helps you at all, unsubscribe to all of them

2) Decide on a strategy out of all those information you’ve gained from newsletters and reports

3) Start biting the bullet and start working on pumping those content out (I like to call them “money buckets” since all of marketing is a number’s game IMO)

Ok … enough from me for now. Time to get back to my projects. I’ll post up some photos of my check in my new post ok? Stay tuned all!

I titled this post the way it is to capture your attention (i guess I succeeded … didn’t i?) but more correctly, it should have been “How Does Google Images Work” or “How Images Get Ranked on Google Images“.

Ok, in the past I’ve heard that images get on Google Images because of their “ALT” attribute of the <img> tag on the webpage that they reside but from what I’ve seen so far, that’s so not true (although that’s a minute factor).

There are many times when I search for a certain keyword but the images returned are totally unrelated to my keyword.

Here’s what I found out … images are tagged largely by the 20-50 words before and after the image (by and large, the text searched for can be anywhere on the page). Another point to that is that the words before the image are weighted slightly more (just a tad bit more) compared to the words that come after the image (you can verify that with some of the keywords I suggest at the end).

So here’s what it looks like …..

<!– 20~50 words before (Weighted slightly more) –> <image> <!–20~50 words after (Weighted slightly less) –>

Another important factor is the proximity of the keywords before and after the image. So between the 2 following cases, B would come out ahead (all things being equal)

A:

xxx xxx xxx xxx fishing bait xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx <image> xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx

B:

xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx fishing bait xxx xxx <image> xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx

Needless to say … if the keyword is present before AND after the image, it gets ranked higher as well (once again, these are just my findings).

Points To Note:

I’ve not seen any correlation of rankings of site with keywords searched on Google Images and the normal Google search

I’ve not checked if Live Images (MSN) or Yahoo’s works the same way

Age of the page is a factor from my findings (i.e Older the better)

The filename of the image affects the rankings as well (try “miserable failure”)

It takes quite a while for Google to index images (much slower compared to webpages)

Keywords To Try:

Yahoo Groups (Warning: Some indecent pics)

Warrior Tank

Claim Your Copy

Miserable Failure

Google PageRank

Ok … enough from me for now. Time to get back to developing a new content site about Traffic Generation. Will post about it when it’s ready.

Hope you enjoyed reading this. Oh … and feel free to post a comment or two to share with the rest. =)

P.S In the next post, I’ll talk about my basic criteria whenever I choose a new domain name … Stay tuned!

P.P.S If you google about ranking on google images, there’s a whole bunch of crap and assumptions out there that I see. I’m obviously biased … but this is the most definitive guide/finding/whatever that I see on the subject.

Hi all,

Some time ago (was just 3 weeks ago in fact), I made a post titled ClickBank Commissions. Well, I just want to take this time to:

1) Update you on how I’m doing with affiliate marketing on ClickBank and

2) ClickBank with Adwords … and whether that’s profitable (in my case at least).

To start off, take a look at this screenshot:

I’ve been doing ok so far in my 1st month of ClickBank affiliate marketing (i’ve done aff marketing before … just not with CB) with the highest on any single day being $70. Not much but decent to say the least. *I know that’s snigger-able for some of you big fishes out that*

Anyways, today was an absolute breakthrough. I got back from church with a friend mid afternoon and when I logged in to my account, I nearly fell off the chair. God be my witness!

Not because I did not think it was possible to achieve that much in a day, heck … some people hit $5000++ in a day. But because it was more than twice I’ve ever achieved on a single day over the last 3 weeks.

I’m definitely on track to hit at least $1k within my first 30 days with Clickbank so that has to be good. But it certainly can get better.

For those that are starting out or have started out for some time and have not seen much for your results so far, I hereby encourage you to stay the course and keep your eyes on the prize. Whatever you’re doing (be it article marketing, craigslist, videos, pay per click, yakety yakety), keep at it for at least a little while longer.

Hope this little post has been interesting for you all. For those using Adwords, I strongly suggest that you check this software out. It’s a power tool I promise ya. (For what it’s worth, I think non PPC guys could use this out as well because it helps you look for little and untapped niches).

Tell ya what … for those that actually do get the tool via the link above, contact me and I’ll give you a little hand at starting out.

Thanks be to God for my decent results so far. Cheers all! =)

P.S Many of my sales (not all) are coming via Adwords and my ROI is approximately 3 to 1 so far. As I’ve said earlier, the tool I’m using is an awesome help.

Ok, this could probably be the shortest SEO lesson or course you’ll ever see but if you can just keep to these 7 tips and apply them, you’ll shoot right to the top of the SERPs (search engine result pages). *I promise*

*Drum roll please*

1) URL / Domain - Make sure the keywords you’re targeting are somewhere in your domain or url.

E.g If my site is broadly about fishing, then I want to preferably have the word “fishing” in my domain name like fishingresource or fishingfreaks or whatever. And taking it one step further, if I wanted to target fishing baits for a page on my domain, I would do something like fishingresource.com/fishing-baits.htm … Got it?

2) Title Tag

Be sure to have your target keywords somewhere in your <Title> tag. Especially near the front. It’s a science! *wink*

3) Meta Keywords

Again … be sure to have your keywords in your meta keywords tag. Oh and have related terms there as well.

Tip: Head over to my Gearbox page and look for the link to Quintura. It will help you identify related keywords (technically, it’s called LSI)

4) Meta Description

Write this in a natural language and just like the <Title> tag, have your keywords in there and near the front. Keep it short and succint otherwise there will be keyword dilution.

5) H1 and H2 Tags

Need I say more? This is to help the search engine crawlers confirm what your page is all about. So using “fishing baits” again, you would have something like “fishing baits” as your H1 tag and “types of fishing baits” as your H2 tag. Make sense?

6) Onpage Relevancy

This stems down to your actual content and keyword density. If you want to get your page about fishing baits ranked well, the SE (search engine) would expect to see related terms (refer to tip #3) on the page. Also, be sure to have your keyword/keyphrase repeated a couple of times (but to the stage of keyword spamming) as well.

7) BACKLINKS, BACKLINKS, BACKLINKS

Ok … enough of onsite optimization (tips #1-6).

Now this step is literally the MOST IMPORTANT (say that again pls) of all. You must get lots of backlinks to the page you want to be ranked for. Like anything else, there’s a right and wrong way of doing things.

With backlinks, you want to be sure to have your keywords as your anchor text. Not sure what I’m talking about?

Take a look at this:

<a href=http://fishingresource.com/fishing-baits.htm title=”fishing baits”>Fishing Baits</a>

So basically it’s like this:

<a href=”the page you want to be ranked for” title=”your keywords”>”Your Keywords”</a>

Tip: Btw, make sure the backlinks you get are from pages without the “nofollow”. Google it to find out more.

Phew … Took me about 30 minutes to write all these just for you. But hey, I wanna help you guys out.

P.S Don’t look down on this short little writeup. These tips are easily worth $49++ (thank yourself for checking these out) … Just because you got them free doesn’t mean …

P.P.S Check back shortly for my next post which will give you some good niches that are vastly untapped and can be easily dominated!

P.P.P.S If you really want to get good at SEO (search engine optimization), I suggest you take a look at this product. Sure it cost a bit of money but if you apply what is taught here and there, you’ll go far and your pages will be right up there.

Hope you guys enjoyed this! =)

I was just discussing with a friend yesterday and because he is greener than I am, I thought I might share with him (which I actually did) what has worked for me so far all these months and years.

And … because I thought about you guys, I’ve also decided to share it here.

With most productive actions (e.g marketing, copywriting) that you take while doing internet marketing, there are 3 keys that you must bear in mind and actually apply if you wanted to explode your results.

Here they are …

1 - Leverage It

Yes … leverage whatever you do (when possible).

Example 1: Suppose you do article marketing and have written an article that’s ready to be submitted to your favorite article directory. Instead of just submitting to that one article directory, why not submit them to several of the most popular and buzzing article directories out there? You’ve already written your article so it won’t take much more time submitting that article to a few more directories.

Example 2: If you love creating videos, instead of just submitting to the world’s most popular video site (it’s YouTube in case you’ve been living in a cave all these while), try submitting them to other video sites like LiveVideo, Google Video, Break.com, etc

Tip: MetaCafe gets me LOTS of views (Shhh…)

Tip: If you can stumble it or digg it, do it! (This gets you trickles or tsunamis loads of more traffic depending on how you do it)

Tip: If you feel your blog post has value, why not submit it to article directories as well?

2 - Automate It

If you’ve been doing internet marketing for a while and is observant enough, you would know some of your most common and repetitive actions. If these take up too much of your time and can be automated (or semi-automated) in some way, you should definitely do so. This would save you loads of time, effort and $$$ in the long run.

Example: Article or Video Submission comes to mind. There are loads more though.

3 - Outsource It

Oh yes … this is one key you CANNOT do without if you want to do well online. No man is an island and as far as I do recall, I’ve never seen anyone who can master coding, graphics, sales copy, traffic generation, SEO, keyword research, pay per click marketing, et cetera all in one go. Sure you may know a bit of each of them but that only makes you a Jack … (you know the rest, don’t ya?)

For Pete’s sake and for your sake, please outsource tasks that:

1) You don’t do well in

2) You dislike doing

3) You have no time for

Granted … outsourcing may cost you some money upfront but almost always, it makes for a wiser bet.

Phew … I’m glad I’m done with sharing these pointers with ya. Hope you enjoyed them.

Feel free to share your comments or experience with the rest if you like to.

God Bless! =)
